Karen Hodge Thomas and Vicki Hodge Lynch are the owners of Dynamic Impact Speakers Group, LLC. Karen and Vicki are professional educators, spiritual and biological sisters who entertain, inspire, motivate, and challenge audiences. Whether delivering a keynote address, facilitating a seminar or presenting a workshop, audiences appreciate their ability to connect with participants in a down-to-earth manner that keeps it real!
During Karen’s and Vicki’s childhood, family time in the Hodge household was full of stories, fun, games, and wise guidance for life. Their mom’s family, the Hairstons, were great communicators who could mesmerize listeners as they skillfully wove the fabric of each story. Family relationships were important; even when those words weren’t stated, that truth was always felt. Their dad and his family, the Hodges, also reinforced for Karen and Vicki the importance of relationships - of loving God, self, and others – and of interacting in healthy ways. Their mom, Roberta Hodge Johnson, instilled a strong sense of finishing all tasks that are begun while their dad, Rev. Grant Hodge, encouraged them to pursue their dreams, believing that anything is possible with God! (continued)
In her childhood, Karen quickly realized her leadership abilities when she and her entire class were paddled by their 3rd grade teacher, Ms. Grace Virginia Hill. What had they done wrong? Karen exited the wrong door during a fire drill. The whole class followed her. Karen was a leader that peers followed. Vicki, the baby of the Hodge family enjoyed lots of attention during childhood for her jovial personality. She especially loved extended family gatherings with an abundance of food, fellowship, and fun stories. It’s no wonder that she eventually became a master storyteller herself.
Professionally, Karen and Vicki both entered the field of education. Karen became a school counselor and school district administrator. One of her earliest challenges as an administrator was delivering quality professional development. The dynamic central office team that she led taught her more than she can ever express and thus, she learned to create, deliver, and evaluate training that is meaningful and practical. Vicki became a highly regarded and well-loved elementary teacher. Hopefully, everyone has had the “favorite teacher” experience – that teacher that you knew loved you and ensured that you learned. That’s Vicki!
So, when Karen and Vicki came together to form Dynamic Impact Speakers Group, LLC, a dynamic duo formed that had been in the making all of their lives. Their seminars, keynotes, and professional development sessions foster healthy relationships with oneself, others and God. They feature a backdrop of entertaining stories with applicable strategies and engaging activities for participants.
When asked about their business, Karen and Vicki share the following: “Dynamic Impact Speakers is not just our name, it’s who we are! We make a dynamic impact wherever we go. Our audiences love the interactive, engaging manner that feels personal and individualized for each participant. We know that everyone enjoys a good story, so we deliver a story or two at every event. Specifically, Vicki tells the stories. She’s our Dynamic Storyteller! And yes, her stories are all true – stories that many people can identify with but rarely share. As a matter of fact, when Vicki lived out many of the experiences that became her stories, she vowed she’d never tell anyone. Now, it’s Vicki’s transparency that draws in participants helping them see that change and growth are possible. Karen is our Impact Strategist. Using Vicki’s stories as the foundation, she engages participants as they identify critical behaviors that were problematic or challenging. Without judgments or putdowns, attendees identify personal behaviors that may be getting in their way. With attendees ready to hear and learn, strategies for immediate implementation are delivered. Dynamic Impact Speakers Group, LLC exists today as a compelling unit because of the love and impact of family. We are committed to making a dynamic impact in your life as we deliver powerful truths that are simply stated.”
